Therapy received from Leicester Ozone Clinic and therapeutic response: â€‹

  • 24 June 2024: A pre-therapy blood test was taken, the Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) was 8845 ng/ml (upper limit of normal for his age is 6.5 ng/ml). haemoglobin 121 g/L (normal range 130 - 170).

  • 8 Jul 2024: Started high dose vitamin c from Leicester Ozone Clinic, the first dose was 20 gram then all subsequent doses were 40 grams. He received a total of 10 doses at a twice weekly frequency, which continued until 13 Aug 2024.  Each infusion was followed by 1 -2 days of bleeding in urine. With subsequent doses the bleeding started to affect him by feeling more and more lethargic and unsteady on his legs.

  • 05 August 2024: PSA level is 4800 ng/ml Haemoglubin is 68 g/L.

  • 13 August 2024: A decision to stop the vitamin c infusions was made as a result of ongoing urine bleeding after each infusion and declining level of haemoglubin. The patient was clinically deteriorating despite decreasing level of PSA. We continued with haemoglobin and PSA monitoring.

  • 02 Sept 2024: PSA level is 7135.2 ng/ml and Haemoglubin is 86 g/L

  • 22 Oct 24: PSA has dramatically reduced to 97.95 ng/ml despite cessation of therapy over 2 months before and his Haemoglubin improved to 92 g/L. He felt better in himself.

  • November 2024: The patient sustained a fall at home and he was taken to hospital where he was subsequently moved to a nursing home for palliative care.
