Timeline of Events and therapies received prior to attending Leicester Ozone Clinic:

  • Initially presented to hospital with lower back pain, was found top be the result of spinal metastasis. He underwent urgent radiotherapy to relive the pressure on spine. Biopsy taken confirmed metastasis in the bone probably from colonic origin. However the primary colon tumour was not detected on scans. The tumour marker CEA was very raised (thousands) adding more weight to the biopsy evidence that this is a colon cancer with metastasis.

  • Following radiotherapy he was started on chemotherapy which he receives every 3 weeks, the planned course if 8 cycles over 6 months.

Therapy received from Leicester Ozone Clinic and therapeutic response: â€‹

  • 07 May 2025: Started high dose vitamin c from Leicester Ozone Clinic, the first dose was 20 gram then all subsequent doses were 40 grams. He received twice weekly IVC alongside chemotherapy which he receives every 3 weeks and the planned course if 8 cycles over 6 months. His tumour marker CEA has reduced from over 3000 to double figures (15 - 38).

  • 18 July 2024: Halfway through the 8 cycles of chemo i.e after 4 cycles, he underwent CT scan examination of the chest and abdomen by hospital and it showed response  to therapy with sclerosis of the bone lesions indicating healing. See below.  His CEA level remains low (double figures)

  • 24 July 2025: from 24th of July the dose of vitamin c will be increased to 80 gams and patient decided to stop the chemotherapy and continue with everything else he does. Another scan is planned end of August with a blood test for CEA planed on the 12th of August to monitor progress.

  • 14 August 2025: Blood tests for tumour markers taken, the results showed an increase in CEA to 401 (previously 38). The test was repeated in hospital on the 26th of August which showed a further increase to just over 600.

  • 26 August 2025: MRI scan repeated (see below). The scan confirms that there is no change in the size of the tumour lesions in the spine and lung with further healing (sclerosis) of the spinal lesion in keeping with treatment response. This scan compares the findings with the previous scan done 5 weeks earlier, during this period the patient was only receiving vitamin c 80 grams twice a week.  However given the increase in CEA the patient decided to resume the other half of his chemo course along side 80 grams of vitamin c iv.
